Hyperlite Mountain Gear Side Entry POD is a nonzippered approach to stuff puffy items and reduce their bulk and reclaim space. With the side entry rolltop it is easier to stuff quilts or other puffy items which was a little problematic with the zipper PODS.
The side entry pod is the perfect addition to your packing system allowing for packing your quilt without having to worry about the zipper catching any fabric. Side Entry POD work like a rolltop sack but are shaped to rest on their side inside your backpack.
Side Entry POD allows you to compress it down a lot more and save even more space. Use them for your bulkier items like quilts, sleeping bags, or puffy, coldweather outerwear or anything else that require extra touch of moisture security.
