Special Pa’lante Ultralight

Pa’lante Ultralight pack is a smaller version of the popular Pa’lante packs. It is designed for experienced thruhikers who prioritize efficiency and minimalism. The pack does not have a stashable hip belt, further enhancing its streamlined design. Despite its ultralight nature, it can also serve as a convenient daily pack. The brand name, “Pa’lante,” meaning “forward” in Spanish, reflects its purpose of helping hikers move quickly and efficiently on the trail.

The pack utilizes highquality and lightweight materials such as 100D Robic nylon, 210D UHMWPE (Dyneema) Gridstop, or 200D UltraWeave™ material from Challenge Sailcloth. These materials strike a perfect balance between being lightweight and durable, offering excellent strengthtoweight ratios.

In terms of design, the Pa’lante Ultralight pack features a streamlined silhouette with a rolltop closure system, eliminating unnecessary straps and buckles. It has a liter main compartment and is recommended for hikers with a base weight (excluding consumables) of 3.5 to 5.5 kilograms (8 to 12 pounds) who aim to cover long distances in a shorter time.

The pack’s shoulder straps have builtin cinchable shoulder pockets and vertically adjustable sternum straps. Two compressible side pockets provide easy access to essential items, while compression straps on both sides secure the load. A signature design element is the stretchy bottom pocket with two openings. The pack also includes a stashable ice axe carrying loop.
